ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNIQUES APPLIED TO THE OPTIMIZATION OF MICRO-IRRIGATION SYSTEMS BY THE ZIMMERMANN-WERNER METHOD

Optimal solutions derived from linear programming models depend entirely on input parameters, which may present some imprecision because they come estimates. Fuzzy allows the incorporation of these uncertainties in models, can include flexibility resources, costs, goals, and constraints. This paper aimed to show new optimal for a model minimize equivalent annual cost micro-irrigation systems sloping terrains. The Zimmermann-Werner fuzzy method, whose objective function is diffuse due restrictions hydraulic network being dispersed, was used. Sixty were created all satisfactory, with an irrigation system lower than original model. lowest value US$ 238.74 ha-1, occurred 3% slope. A reduction observed increased use pipes 50-mm nominal diameter secondary line. Thus, provided better small modifications system, while maintaining requirements proper operation.
